Keeping Americans Safe in Aviation

This memorandum directs the Secretary of Transportation and the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration to immediately return the FAA to non-discriminatory, merit-based hiring and to rescind all DEI initiatives and preferencing policies or practices. It further directs both officials to review the past performance and performance standards of all individuals in critical safety positions and to replace any individual who fails or has failed to demonstrate requisite capability.
