Summary

The Executive Order creates a whole‑of‑government push to secure U.S. airspace against malicious or careless drone use. It establishes a National Security Council‑led task force, directs the FAA to speed new flight‑restriction rules and publish open geofencing data, empowers DOJ and DHS to enforce and fund counter‑UAS measures for state and local partners, mandates inter‑agency upgrades to drone‑detection guidance and data‑sharing, and lays groundwork for a national Counter‑UAS training center—all on rapid timelines that prioritize critical infrastructure, mass gatherings, and border security.
