Summary

This proclamation declares that an invasion is ongoing at the southern border and, invoking sections 212(f) and 215(a) of the INA and Article II and Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution, suspends the entry of aliens engaged in that invasion and restricts their access to INA provisions permitting continued presence, including asylum under 8 U.S.C. 1158. It also suspends entry of aliens who fail to provide sufficient medical, criminal history, and background information before entering, and directs the Secretary of Homeland Security, in coordination with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, to repel, repatriate, or remove such aliens until the President finds the invasion has ceased.
