Making Federal Architecture Beautiful Again

This EO establishes that classical and traditional architectural styles are the preferred designs for major Federal public buildings, emphasizing their capacity to inspire civic virtue, connect citizens to the nation’s founding ideals, and visually distinguish government properties. It directs GSA to prioritize these styles in planning, design competitions, and selection processes, and requires additional scrutiny and presidential notification when alternative architectural styles are proposed.
