Accelerating Access to Veterans' Benefits and Employment Opportunities

This EO directs the Secretary of War and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish, within 180 days, updated information technology systems and guidance for ongoing sharing of Official Military Personnel Files and Service Treatment Records, deploy AI-based digital tools consolidating veterans' benefits access, and, within 30 days, ensure records transfer to the Department of Veterans Affairs immediately upon a service member's discharge. It also requires, within 120 days and in consultation with HHS and OMB, review and modification of existing IT contracts to add interoperability requirements, and directs the Secretary of War, within 180 days, to update the Transition Assistance Program to connect separating service members to jobs, training, or apprenticeships and to veterans' benefits representatives.
