Additional Measures To Address the Crime Emergency in the District of Columbia

This EO directs multiple federal agencies to take immediate measures to address public safety and disorder in the District of Columbia, including hiring additional law enforcement personnel, forming specialized units, and increasing oversight of housing and transit conditions. It also authorizes increased cooperation and resource allocation for rapid response to civil disturbances and mandates review of police practices to ensure the effective mitigation of the crime emergency.
