Restoring American Seafood Competitiveness

This EO seeks to promote the productive harvest of US seafood resources; limit commercial fishing regulation; combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; and protect seafood markets from the unfair trade practices of other nations. The Secretary of Commerce shall identify regulations to rescind or revise to further this goal, solicit public comments, and coordinate with various groups. Secretary of Commerce shall also coordinate with the Secretary of Interior to review national monuments to suggest opening them to commercial fishing.
